New Pilot Custom Urushi Blue

The Pilot Custom Urushi BLUE fountain pen is the latest addition to the Custom pen range which includes already the classic black and red. It is an oversize fountain pen and the largest of the Pilot Custom range. It is fitted with a size 30-18K gold nib in dual tone. A flat-top pen with the cap and barrel made of ebonite, The cap top, the barrel end and the nib section are made of  black resin. The barrel and cap are coated with many layers of pure blue urushi lacquer. Filling system is cartridge or Con-70 converter. This Pilot Custom Urushi lacquered ebonite fountain pen was created by maki-e artisans (kokkokai) in Japan. It features the Roiro Urushi technique which requires time and skill to create a uniform and mirror-like finish. Each Custom Urushi  pen is lacquered and polished three times to create a beautiful quality result.
